Saudi Gamers Lead Video Game Spending Across the Middle East
Saudi users have topped the list of video game spending across the Middle East, according to recent data showing a clear lead over other regional markets.
The average annual spending per gamer in Saudi Arabia reached approximately $393, significantly higher than the UAE, where average spending stood at around $280, while Egypt recorded a much lower average of about $62 per user annually.
This gap highlights the strength of Saudi Arabia’s gaming market, driven by a growing player base, the widespread adoption of digital gaming platforms, and rising demand for in-game purchases, subscriptions, and related services.
The strong performance comes as the regional gaming sector continues to expand rapidly, supported by increased investment in digital infrastructure, the organization of major esports tournaments, and the growing presence of global gaming companies in Gulf markets.
Industry observers believe that sustained growth in consumer spending will further cement Saudi Arabia’s position as the largest video game market in the Middle East, with expectations of continued expansion in the coming years, supported by government initiatives and strong interest among younger demographics.
