In an official disclosure submitted to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), Telecom Egypt announced that its Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Eng. Ashraf Abdeen Hassanein Emara as Executive Vice President of International and Operators, effective November 1, 2026. This move comes as part of restructuring the executive management and capitalizing on deep-rooted internal expertise.

A Professional Journey Spanning Over Two Decades Within the Company

Eng. Ashraf Abdeen boasts a distinguished track record at Telecom Egypt spanning more than 20 years. He joined the company in 2005 within the International Operations and Maintenance sector and progressively advanced through key technical, managerial, and leadership roles, culminating in his appointment as Head of International Business Sectors in 2022.

Driving Revenue Growth, Infrastructure Development, and Submarine Cables

During his tenure overseeing the International Business Sectors, Abdeen delivered tangible revenue growth and business expansion while solidifying strategic partnerships with major global telecom operators. He also managed critical divisions forming the backbone of the company’s international data transmission infrastructure, most notably submarine cables and state-of-the-art data centers.

Abdeen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
