A Major Investment Links Meta’s AI Expansion to NVIDIA

Meta’s push to expand its artificial intelligence infrastructure is gaining another major technology partner, with NVIDIA committing $3 billion to Meta’s equity offering.

The investment strengthens an already extensive relationship between the two companies as Meta increases spending on computing infrastructure needed to train and run advanced AI systems.

Vera Rubin Technology to Support Meta’s Growing Compute Needs

Meta plans to broaden its deployment of NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform and related processing technologies.

The move is designed to provide additional computing capacity as Meta scales its AI workloads and develops larger and more capable models. The companies have already established a multiyear infrastructure partnership involving NVIDIA CPUs, GPUs, networking and AI systems.

Muse Becomes a Key Area of Cooperation

Another focus of the expanded partnership is Muse, Meta’s AI agent and model family.

NVIDIA and Meta will work more closely on improving the performance of Muse during both training and inference, supporting Meta’s wider strategy to develop personal AI agents and advanced AI models.

NVIDIA Continues to Invest Across the AI Industry

The deal also highlights NVIDIA’s growing involvement in the AI ecosystem beyond its core chip and computing businesses.

The company has been increasing its investment activity across AI-focused businesses as technology companies race to secure computing resources and build the infrastructure required for the next generation of AI applications.
