Egypt Turns to QNB’s Global Network to Market State Assets and Real Estate Opportunities
Expanding Egypt’s Investor Outreach
Egypt is looking to leverage Qatar National Bank’s international presence and broad customer base to expand promotion of investment opportunities in the Egyptian market.
The issue was discussed by Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid Saleh and QNB Group CEO Abdullah Mubarak Al Khalifa during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Global Investment Forum 2026 in Doha.
Using Banking Networks to Promote Egyptian Opportunities
Farid called for greater use of QNB’s international banking network and investment expertise to introduce potential investors to Egypt’s government offerings and other investment opportunities.
According to the minister, reaching QNB customers across its international markets could create new communication channels with prospective investors and help broaden participation in Egyptian offerings.
Government Offerings and Investor Engagement
Misr Life Insurance was among the government companies discussed during the meeting. Farid emphasized the need to reach a broad range of investors, including individual investors and high-net-worth clients.
The parties also considered holding dedicated promotional sessions to provide investors with information about the companies being offered and the opportunities associated with them.
Opening New Channels for Real Estate Investment
Real estate was another key area of discussion, with Egypt proposing presentations featuring selected projects developed by Egyptian real estate companies for QNB customers in international markets.
The proposed approach would allow developers to present their projects directly to potential investors while creating new channels for international exposure.
QNB indicated that it was prepared to study the proposal with its Egyptian team. The next steps would include identifying suitable developers and projects for presentation to the bank's customer base.
The initiative forms part of Egypt's broader efforts to work with international financial institutions to promote domestic investment opportunities and attract additional capital to the Egyptian market.
