As part of its commitment to social responsibility and empowering Egyptian women, the Agricultural Bank of Egypt (PBDAC) has launched its awareness campaign, "Because You Matter", in cooperation with the Baheya Foundation. This coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October 2026 and falls under the Central Bank of Egypt's "Your Health is a Trust" initiative.

The campaign aims to raise awareness about the necessity of early detection and routine check-ups, encourage women to prioritize their health, and foster a culture of volunteerism and community service within the banking sector.

Lighting Up the Headquarter in Pink: A Visual Solidarity Message with Every Warrior

The Agricultural Bank of Egypt kicked off the campaign by illuminating its headquarters in Dokki in pink. This symbolic gesture reflects complete solidarity with breast cancer warriors, supporting them on their treatment and recovery journey while highlighting the importance of prevention and continuous awareness.

Awareness and Field Workshops for Bank Employees to Promote Prevention

The bank ensured the direct engagement of its human resources by organizing health awareness sessions for its female employees in collaboration with the Baheya Foundation. The sessions featured specialized medical guidance on monthly self-examinations and early detection mechanisms, alongside providing a platform for participants to ask questions and receive expert medical advice.

A Field Visit to Baheya Hospital in Sheikh Zayed to Support Cancer Warriors

The campaign concluded with a field visit to Baheya Hospital's branch in Sheikh Zayed, attended by the bank’s Corporate Communications team led by Mira Youssef, alongside a number of volunteer female employees. The visit included a tour of the hospital's medical services and a special celebration to support the warriors and boost their morale, reaffirming the enduring partnership between the bank and healthcare institutions.

Mira Youssef: Women's Health is a Sustainable Priority, Not Just a Seasonal Awareness

Mira Youssef, Head of Corporate Communications at the Agricultural Bank of Egypt, emphasized that the "Because You Matter" campaign reflects the bank's belief that women's health is a continuous societal commitment focused on prevention and moral support. She noted that the slogan was chosen to reinforce the idea that a woman’s health is the foundation of the family and society as a whole.

She pointed out that the cooperation with Baheya aligns with the Central Bank of Egypt’s directives to steer banking initiatives toward national health and developmental priorities. She also added that the campaign builds upon the bank's previous efforts, such as the "Your Health is Worth It" initiative launched last July.
