Al Baraka Capital Strengthens Asset Management With New Role for Manasik Investment Fund

Manasik Becomes Part of Al Baraka Capital’s Asset Management Strategy

Al Baraka Capital is expanding its asset management operations by taking responsibility for the investment management of the Manasik Fund, its first investment fund and a Sharia-compliant daily accumulating-return product offering Hajj and Umrah trip prizes to certificate holders.

The fund’s management transition comes after the company completed the requirements of Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority.

Building a Broader Investment Platform

The company said it has invested in strengthening the Asset Management division through digital infrastructure upgrades, operational recruitment and the addition of capital market expertise.

The move is part of a wider restructuring of Al Baraka Capital’s business model as it seeks to expand its activities across capital markets and asset management.

More Funds and Investment Solutions Planned

CEO Amir Sherif said Al Baraka Capital is developing a long-term strategy that includes expanding its assets under management and attracting additional portfolios.

The company also plans to introduce new investment products covering liquidity, fixed income, equities, precious metals and sector-focused funds, in addition to financial portfolio solutions.

Growing Investor Interest in Egypt

Wael Amin, Head of Asset Management, highlighted the expansion of Egypt’s investment fund market, noting that the number of funds increased from 172 at the end of 2025 to 232 by the end of the third quarter of 2026.

He linked the market’s growth to increasing financial awareness, investment culture and financial inclusion, alongside a significant increase in the number of investors.

Digital Channels Expand Fund Accessibility

Al Baraka Capital has signed agreements with major fintech players to make the Manasik Fund more accessible to investors through digital financial platforms.

The company expects the number of fintech application users in Egypt to surpass 66 million by 2028, highlighting the growing role of technology in connecting investors with financial products.

A Sharia-Compliant Fixed-Income Product

Launched in the first quarter of 2026, Manasik was the first investment fund established by Al Baraka Capital.

The company states that it is the only Sharia-compliant fixed-income fund in Egypt and provides its certificate holders with opportunities to win Hajj and Umrah trips.
