China Securities Opens Regional Office at Dubai International Financial Centre
China Securities has opened a new regional office at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), marking a new step in the Beijing-based investment bank’s international expansion and strengthening its presence in Middle Eastern capital markets.
The listed securities firm has secured the required licenses from the DIFC and the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to operate from the financial centre.
The Dubai office will serve as China Securities’ regional base, allowing the company to work with clients, investors and financial institutions across the Middle East while connecting its China operations with capital markets in the UAE and other international markets.
China Securities provides a range of financial services, including equity and debt capital markets, investment banking, asset management and corporate services.
The move comes as financial and investment ties between China and the UAE continue to expand, with China Securities joining several major Chinese financial institutions already operating from the DIFC.
These institutions include Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, Bank of Communications, China Construction Bank, China International Capital Corporation, China Merchants Bank and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
According to the DIFC, China’s five largest banks collectively account for more than 30% of total assets across the banking and capital markets sector.
The establishment of the new office follows a period of cooperation between the DIFC and China Securities, during which the investment bank assessed opportunities in Dubai and the wider regional market.
The new presence forms part of China Securities’ broader international expansion strategy, providing the company with a platform to develop capital markets business across the Middle East and strengthen links between Chinese, UAE and international investors.
