Roche and CarePoint Launch Strategic Partnership at Africa Health ExCon to Drive Digital Healthcare Transformation

Roche Pharmaceuticals and CarePoint, the digital arm of EVA Group, have officially announced a new strategic partnership aimed at developing the digital healthcare ecosystem. The announcement was made on the sidelines of the "Africa Health ExCon" conference and exhibition currently convening in Cairo.

The declaration followed a high-profile executive meeting between Stefano Mazzioni, General Manager of Roche Pharmaceuticals Egypt, and senior leadership from CarePoint, including Eng. Michael Mounir, Executive Director of AI and Digital Transformation at EVA Group. The session focused on deploying integrated digital solutions designed to support the healthcare sector and leverage data analytics to enhance the quality of medical services.

The newly formed alliance focuses on developing interactive, data-driven systems that enable healthcare policymakers to monitor clinical and operational key performance indicators (KPIs) with real-time accuracy. Furthermore, the partnership targets rolling out digital platforms and applications engineered to simplify complex medical content for patients, while scaling professional training and upskilling programs for medical personnel.

Key objectives of the joint initiative include:

Patient Journey Optimization: Redesigning the care continuum to make treatment pathways more accessible and seamless, while leveraging modern software to accelerate medical delivery.

Operational Efficiency: Minimizing patient wait times and cutting administrative overheads within hospitals and medical centers through continuous quality assessment and algorithmic optimization.

Stefano Mazzioni emphasized that this collaboration reflects Roche’s deep commitment to supporting the evolution of the healthcare sector through data-backed solutions, empowering medical professionals with modern digital tools to elevate the benchmark of patient care.

For his part, Eng. Michael Mounir pointed out that the partnership marks a pivotal step toward building an integrated digital healthcare ecosystem in Egypt and the broader region. He noted that utilizing digital intelligence and advanced data analytics will structurally improve patient experiences and drive sustainable operational efficiency across healthcare institutions.
