PayPal Partners with UAE’s NEO PAY to Accelerate Cross-Border Payments for Businesses

PayPal, the global digital payments and commerce platform, has announced a strategic partnership with UAE-based NEO PAY, one of the fastest-growing digital payment companies in the country, aimed at accelerating and simplifying cross-border payments for businesses in the United Arab Emirates. The move marks a new step in strengthening the digital commerce ecosystem across the Middle East and Africa.

Under the partnership, merchants across the UAE will be able to accept PayPal payments, offering consumers a simple and secure electronic payment method. Integration with NEO PAY’s advanced acquiring infrastructure will also streamline merchant onboarding processes and unlock new growth opportunities, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking to expand into international markets.

The partnership is expected to support the continued growth of the UAE’s e-commerce sector, which is projected to reach approximately USD 21.18 billion by 2030, according to Mordor Intelligence. The initiative provides SMEs—representing 94% of all companies operating in the UAE and contributing more than half of the country’s GDP—with direct access to one of the world’s most widely trusted digital payment platforms, enhancing customer confidence, increasing checkout completion rates, and enabling global expansion.

Otto Williams, Senior Vice President, Regional Head and General Manager for the Middle East and Africa at PayPal, said the UAE is a dynamic digital economy with a fast-growing e-commerce sector and a strong appetite for financial innovation, noting that the partnership represents a key milestone in PayPal’s regional growth strategy.
