Huawei nova 16s Series Hits Egypt With 200MP Camera, AI Editing and 7,000mAh Battery

The HUAWEI nova 16s and nova 16s Pro are now available through Huawei’s official channels and authorized retailers, with prices starting at EGP 34,999 for a configuration offering 24GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Huawei is also offering installment plans of up to 24 months with 0% interest, 0% down payment and no administrative fees through participating sales channels.

A 200MP Camera Leads the nova 16s Pro

Photography is one of the main areas where Huawei is attempting to differentiate the new generation.

The nova 16s Pro features a 200MP main camera built around a large RYYB sensor, designed to retain enough image information for users to crop or zoom into details including faces, hair and background textures without sacrificing as much image quality.

But Huawei is also putting greater emphasis on what happens after an image is captured.

The nova 16s series introduces an AI Editing Suite that uses artificial intelligence for composition and image manipulation, bringing functions that previously required more complex editing into the smartphone’s native photography experience.

AI Can Reframe Subjects and Remove Reflections

AI Composition analyzes elements including lighting, shooting angle and the position of the main subject before providing real-time guidance and composition suggestions.

AI Move takes the process further by extracting people or pets from an image and suggesting alternative positions within a new composition. The software then attempts to reconstruct depth and lighting to make the repositioned subject appear more natural.

Another feature, AI De-glare, is designed for one of the more common smartphone photography problems: shooting through glass or photographing reflective screens.

The tool removes unwanted reflections while attempting to recover details behind them and preserve natural skin tones.

Together, the features illustrate how smartphone photography is increasingly moving beyond camera hardware alone, with computational photography and generative editing becoming a larger part of the final image.

7,000mAh Battery Meets 100W Charging

Huawei has paired the camera and AI features with a 7,000mAh battery across the series.

The larger capacity is designed for users moving between photography, video, social media, entertainment and other intensive smartphone workloads throughout the day.

When the battery does need charging, the nova 16s series supports 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo technology, reducing the time required to return the device to usable battery levels.

The combination of a 7,000mAh battery and 100W charging is particularly significant as smartphone manufacturers increasingly compete not only on battery capacity but on how quickly larger batteries can be replenished.

Huawei Adds 24-Month Financing to the Launch

The commercial offer surrounding the nova 16s series is also a major part of Huawei’s Egypt launch strategy.

Prices start at EGP 34,999 for the 24GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, according to Huawei.

Buyers will also receive a HUAWEI Band 11 Pro, valued by the company at EGP 3,399, alongside the HUAWEI Care+ 5-in-1 service package.

Huawei says eligible customers can spread the cost over as long as 24 months without interest, administrative fees or a down payment through its official online and physical stores and participating authorized retailers.

Four Colors for the Pro Model

Both the nova 16s and nova 16s Pro are offered in Isle Blue, Breathing Crystal and Starry Black.

The nova 16s Pro adds a fourth Sky White finish.

With the nova 16s generation, Huawei is effectively combining three of the smartphone market’s current competitive fronts: higher-resolution imaging, AI-driven editing and larger batteries with fast charging.

The 200MP sensor may provide the headline specification for the Pro model, but the more consequential change could be how much of the photography process is moving from the camera sensor into AI software that can guide, reconstruct and modify an image directly on the phone.
