ITIDA Concludes InnovEgypt 2026: 5300 Trainees Embody the Future of Innovation in Egypt

The Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), an affiliate of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), has officially wrapped up the 2026 edition of the "InnovEgypt" capacity-building program for university students and graduates in innovation and entrepreneurship. The edition achieved remarkable success, drawing 5,300 participants across 23 Egyptian governorates.

Record Figures and Key Milestones

This year's edition saw immense engagement, featuring 85 training bootcamps with 667 innovative teams. With these new additions, the total number of program beneficiaries has surpassed 40,000 students and graduates since its inception in 2013, highlighting the tangible impact of the initiative in developing young talent.

Empowering Youth and Shaping Future Entrepreneurs

The program lies at the forefront of ITIDA's efforts to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial mindset. It aims to equip a new generation of university students and graduates with practical knowledge, expertise, and best practices in technology fields. Furthermore, it seeks to refine participants' skills, enabling them to turn their creative ideas and smart solutions into real-world startups and projects.

A Comprehensive Curriculum and Strategic Partnerships

The program relied on interactive training methodologies and workshops structured around three core modules:

Innovation & Technology Management

Ideation & Design Thinking

Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship

These activities were conducted in collaboration with a comprehensive network of partners, trainers, Creativa Innovation Hubs, and TIEC's Innovation Ambassadors network, who provided technical and logistical support to trainees throughout the bootcamps.

A Pivotal Role in Driving the Digital Economy

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology established TIEC in 2010 to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within the ICT sector. The center empowers individuals and enterprises to leverage technology, driving sustainable economic growth and cementing Egypt's position as a regional hub for technology and innovation.
