A Continuous Strategy for Tax Facilitation

Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, affirmed that tax incentives and facilitations represent a comprehensive and continuous approach to development, rather than merely temporary measures. He noted that the Egyptian Tax Authority is leading reform efforts out of a firm belief in the importance of simplifying procedures for business community partners. Speaking at the Annual Conference of the Scientific Society for Tax Legislation, the Minister expressed his appreciation for the Tax Authority's flexible review of its decisions in response to practical realities.

Real-World Reforms and Practical Solutions

The Minister explained that 90% of the current tax reforms were derived directly from proposals and challenges raised by the tax community to provide realistic and actionable solutions. He also revealed plans to expand electronic tax services for citizens and investors, announcing the upcoming launch of an updated mobile application for real estate taxes in the near future.

Fruitful Partnership and Revenue Growth

Kouchouk highlighted that "Tax Sukuk" aims to offer genuine benefits and top returns for committed partners. He expressed gratitude to the business community for its prompt response, which contributed to a 27% increase in tax revenues over the past year without imposing any additional financial burdens on taxpayers.
