 The Ministry of Education and Technical Education has announced the launch of 15 Egyptian-Italian Applied Technology Schools, slated to open for the 2026/2027 academic year. Operating under the brand name "8ones," the initiative is being carried out in collaboration with several Italian educational institutions and academies to prepare highly qualified technical cadres in the hospitality sector in accordance with the latest international standards.

The new schools are part of a broader cooperation agreement with the Parma and Giulio Natta academies, as well as the Engim San Paolo Academy for Hospitality. This move aligns with the ministry's strategic plan to expand the applied technology school model and directly link educational outputs with labor market demands.

15 Schools Across Multiple Governorates

The newly announced schools, launched in collaboration with the Engim San Paolo Academy for Hospitality, include the Talkha Egyptian-Italian School in Dakahlia, the Beni Suef School in Beni Suef, and the Kafr El-Zayat School in Gharbia.

Additionally, schools operating in partnership with the San Paolo Academy for Hospitality comprise specialized hospitality facilities in Aswan, Sohag, Assiut, East Fayoum, and Bandar Damanhour (Beheira).

In Greater Cairo, the initiative features the October Applied Technology School in Giza—which uniquely offers specializations in both hospitality and the cinema industry—alongside the East Nasr City, Badr, and El Nozha schools in Cairo. The list is rounded out by the East Alexandria and Central Alexandria schools in Alexandria, as well as the South Suez school in the Suez Governorate, all focusing on the hospitality sector.

Integrating Academic Study with Practical Training

These new Egyptian-Italian schools aim to deliver an advanced educational model that integrates academic studies with hands-on practical training in real-world work environments. The modern curricula have been comprehensively co-developed with the Italian partners.

This educational model is strategically designed to equip students with the necessary technical and vocational skills to meet the rigorous requirements of both local and international labor markets, particularly within the hospitality and related services sectors.

Expanding the Scope of Technical Education

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education emphasized that expanding the network of Egyptian-Italian Applied Technology Schools falls within the state's broader vision to revamp the technical education system and strengthen partnerships with international institutions and the industrial sector.

The ministry added that these strategic partnerships are tailored to produce graduates who possess the practical expertise and skills needed to compete in various production and service sectors, thereby significantly enhancing their employability upon graduation.
