ADIB Egypt Board Approves Resignation of Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Posts EGP 7.34 Billion in Standalone Net Profits for H1 2026
The Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt (ADIB Egypt) has approved the resignation of Dr. Rania Al-Mashat—former Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, United Nations Under-Secretary-General, and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA)—from her position as an independent non-executive board member. The resignation will be presented at the bank's next General Assembly for final ratification.
In an official disclosure submitted to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), the bank stated that during the same meeting, the Board also approved the standalone and consolidated financial statements for the financial period ending June 30, 2026.
Net Profits and Financial Highlights
It is worth noting that ADIB Egypt achieved consolidated net profits of EGP 6.233 billion during the first half of 2025, compared to EGP 4.578 billion during the same period in 2024, reflecting a robust growth rate of 36.1%.
Furthermore, the bank's net income from returns reached approximately EGP 12.25 billion during the first six months of 2026, up from EGP 9.56 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.
On a standalone basis, ADIB Egypt recorded net profits amounting to EGP 7.34 billion by the end of June 2026, compared to EGP 6.04 billion during the comparable period of the previous year.
