Misr Life Insurance and Al Ahly Enter Four-Year Deal to Expand Insurance and Community Services

Misr Life Insurance and Al Ahly Sporting Club have entered into a four-year strategic partnership aimed at broadening insurance coverage for the club’s community while creating new opportunities for cooperation across digital, community and engagement initiatives.

The agreement will serve Al Ahly members and their families, as well as players, employees and staff. It also extends beyond insurance to include cooperation with Al Ahly’s Community Development Foundation, Al Ahly Channel and cooperative voting activities.

Partnership Builds on Previous Cooperation

Al Ahly Chairman Mahmoud El Khatib said the agreement represents a continuation of the successful relationship between the club and Misr Life Insurance.

He said the club remains focused on providing its members, players and employees with quality services and views partnerships with established national institutions as an important part of achieving that goal.

El Khatib also highlighted Misr Life Insurance’s long experience and established position in the Egyptian insurance sector as key factors supporting the partnership.

Broader Cooperation Planned Over Four Years

The new agreement is designed to create cooperation opportunities beyond the insurance services already available.

Under the partnership, the two sides will explore initiatives involving Al Ahly’s Community Development Foundation and the club’s media platforms, while also working together on cooperative voting activities.

The club said these channels could help the partners reach wider segments of society and introduce additional services and initiatives throughout the four-year term.

Insurance Coverage to Extend Across the Club’s Community

Mostafa El-Qammash, Executive Managing Director of Misr Life Insurance, described the agreement as a strategic milestone for the company.

He noted that the partnership brings together two Egyptian institutions whose histories span more than a century. Misr Life Insurance began in 1900 as the National Insurance Company, while Al Ahly was founded in 1907.

According to El-Qammash, the partnership will provide insurance services to members and their families through the club’s various locations, while extending insurance protection to players and employees.

Al Ahly Platforms to Promote Financial Planning

Misr Life Insurance also plans to use Al Ahly Channel and its digital platforms to increase public awareness of insurance and encourage greater understanding of financial planning.

El-Qammash said the company is working to modernize its services, expand its reach to new customer segments and accelerate digital transformation as part of its broader development strategy.

Misr Life Insurance Prepares for Egyptian Exchange Offering

The partnership comes as Misr Life Insurance prepares for a planned share offering on the Egyptian Exchange.

El-Qammash described the expected listing as an important stage in the company’s development and its transition toward a new period of growth.

He also highlighted the planned cooperation with Al Ahly’s Community Development Foundation, saying that the contribution of major institutions should be measured not only by business performance but also by their broader social impact.
