Rebar Prices in Egypt Stabilize for August 2026 Sales Following Recent Declines

Rebar (steel reinforcement) prices in the domestic market have witnessed relative stability across most steel mills. According to the newly announced sales prices for August, rates remain largely unchanged compared to July, marking a plateau after notable price drops in recent months.

Market Prices Overview

Ezz Steel recorded a price of EGP 39,850 per ton for straight bars and EGP 36,000 per ton for steel coils, delivered ex-factory. Beshay Steel registered EGP 39,200 per ton, while Egyptian Steel set its price at EGP 37,350 per ton. Meanwhile, El Geoushy Steel announced prices of EGP 34,500 per ton for CR/DR specifications and EGP 37,300 for DWR specifications. All listed prices are inclusive of the mandatory 14% Value Added Tax (VAT).

Other market players also announced their rates, with Suez Steel recording EGP 38,950 per ton, Misr Steel at EGP 34,600, El Madina Steel at EGP 36,500, Nubaria Steel at EGP 34,400, Antar Steel at EGP 34,200, Bianco Steel at EGP 35,000, and Tanta Steel registering EGP 33,800 per ton.
