Orange Egypt Marks 20 Years of Backing Enactus to Empower the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

Orange Egypt has renewed its sponsorship of Enactus Egypt for the twentieth consecutive year, extending one of the country's longest-running corporate partnerships dedicated to youth entrepreneurship and innovation.

The two-decade collaboration reflects Orange Egypt’s long-term commitment to equipping university students with the skills, experience and opportunities needed to transform innovative ideas into sustainable businesses with economic, social and environmental impact.

Over the past 20 years, the partnership has supported thousands of students across Egyptian universities through hands-on entrepreneurship programmes that strengthen skills in business planning, project management, innovation and teamwork while enhancing graduates’ readiness for the labour market.

Orange Egypt said the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to invest in youth development by creating practical learning environments where students can test ideas, gain real-world experience and develop scalable projects capable of addressing pressing societal challenges.

The programme also aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 by promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and the green economy while encouraging knowledge-based economic growth.

“Over the past two decades, our partnership with Enactus Egypt has become a sustainable model for empowering university students and giving them a genuine opportunity to discover their potential, develop their capabilities and create projects that address real challenges facing society,” said Maha Nagy, Orange Egypt’s Executive Vice President for Public Relations, Media and Corporate Communications.

She added that Orange believes supporting young people begins with providing access to the right opportunities, practical experience and tools that enable them to turn ideas into reality.

“By continuing this partnership, we remain committed to expanding opportunities for entrepreneurship, training and experiential learning, helping new generations build confidence, gain practical expertise and contribute to Egypt’s sustainable development goals,” Nagy said.

The 2026 Enactus Egypt National Competition attracted a record 71 universities from across the country, with student teams presenting entrepreneurial projects designed to tackle economic, social and environmental challenges through innovative and sustainable solutions.

The competition concluded with Mansoura University winning first place for its project ATHR, which transforms agricultural and textile waste into environmentally friendly products with commercial value. The initiative produces biodegradable tableware, reusable fabric bags, plant-growing bags and medical gauze using rice straw, sugarcane waste and discarded textiles, supporting circular economy principles while reducing pollution.

Following its national victory, the Mansoura University team will represent Egypt at the Enactus World Cup 2026 in São Paulo, Brazil, where teams from 33 countries will compete.

Through its long-standing partnership with Enactus and its wider corporate social responsibility programmes, Orange Egypt continues to invest in developing young talent, fostering innovation and expanding access to entrepreneurship and skills development, helping prepare a new generation capable of driving sustainable economic growth.
