BYD”s Global Sales Rise for Third Consecutive Month in July 2026, Fueled by Strong Overseas Demand
Global sales for BYD, China’s largest electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, rose for the third consecutive month in July 2026. This growth was driven by robust demand in overseas markets, which continued to offset a slowdown in domestic sales.
According to official data released by the company, BYD's total sales increased by 21.8% year-on-year, reaching 419,211 vehicles in July.
Furthermore, overseas shipments of passenger cars and pickup trucks surged by 124.3% year-on-year, hitting 179,841 units during the month. This significant leap serves as a strong indicator of the sustained momentum behind the automaker's aggressive global expansion strategy.
