Zerotech Signs Tripartite Cooperation Protocol to Localize Data Center Assembly in Egypt
Zerotech Systems has signed a joint cooperation protocol with Schneider Electric and the Electronics Factory affiliated with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, to locally assemble data center units at the Electronics Factory facilities.
Dr. Atef Abu Hashem, Chairman of Zerotech, stated that the agreement aims to meet the growing needs of national projects, enhance the readiness of the Egyptian market to scale data center solutions, and support Egypt’s digital transformation agenda through a local manufacturing and assembly model. This model leverages national manufacturing capabilities, the operational expertise of the local partner, and the global technical know-how of Schneider Electric.
The signing ceremony was attended by Major General Engineer Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Electronics Factory at the Arab Organization for Industrialization, Dr. Atef Abu Hashem, Chairman of Zerotech, and Sebastian Reiz, President of Schneider Electric.
Abu Hashem explained that Zerotech seeks to expand digital transformation systems and strengthen technological infrastructure, particularly amid rising demand for data center solutions across critical sectors. These solutions require highly reliable equipment, stable supply chains, and local assembly capabilities that reduce delivery timelines and enhance flexibility in meeting project requirements of varying sizes and schedules.
He added that the tripartite cooperation is expected to support the localization of a key segment of the data center value chain by transferring assembly operations to a national industrial facility, thereby increasing local content and establishing a scalable model aligned with market needs.
The agreement is particularly significant as it connects three influential pillars of the digital transformation ecosystem: national manufacturing capabilities represented by the Arab Organization for Industrialization and its Electronics Factory, local system integration and execution expertise represented by Zerotech, and global technical leadership represented by Schneider Electric.
Abu Hashem expressed optimism that this integrated model will accelerate preparation and delivery timelines, enhance technical support readiness, reduce execution risks, and improve scalability for data center requirements across various national projects—especially those requiring strict adherence to specifications and timelines.
He concluded that this agreement represents a further step toward building an industrial base aligned with the digital economy, by localizing data center assembly within a national facility. This approach supports digital transformation, strengthens technology localization, and enhances the market’s capacity to serve national projects, while opening broader prospects for developing advanced manufacturing capabilities in priority technology sectors.
