The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has launched a unified, sector-wide awareness campaign to combat banking fraud, with the active participation of all commercial banks operating in the local market. The campaign runs under the slogan #Together_We_Fight_Fraud
The initiative aims to elevate public awareness regarding fraudulent tactics targeting banking clients, emphasizing the absolute necessity of safeguarding confidential banking and personal data. The CBE stressed that sensitive information must never be disclosed to untrusted entities or individuals, particularly as fraud methods become increasingly diverse and sophisticated.

Vigilance Against Fraudulent Calls: Customers must exercise extreme caution and avoid being deceived by phone calls attempting to extract personal or banking credentials under false pretenses.
Avoid Suspicious Links: Clients are advised never to click on unverified web links received via SMS, email, or any other digital channel, as these links are frequently used in phishing attacks to harvest sensitive financial and personal information.
