National Telecommunication Institute and Banque Misr Sign Strategic Protocol to Advance Digital Skills in Banking Sector
The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) has signed a cooperation protocol with Banque Misr to deliver specialized training programs in telecommunications and information technology for the bank’s employees, supporting institutional development and strengthening digital capabilities within Egypt’s banking sector.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Ahmed Khattab, Director of NTI, and Ahmed El-Dawour, Head of Human Resources Development and Institutional Culture at Banque Misr, alongside senior representatives from both institutions. The agreement underscores the strategic importance of collaboration in training and capacity building.
The protocol reaffirms NTI’s pivotal role as a leading national center of excellence in digital capacity building. Affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, NTI leverages advanced training infrastructure, academic expertise, and globally aligned programs to prepare qualified professionals capable of meeting evolving market demands.
Under the agreement, NTI will provide an advanced portfolio of training programs tailored to Banque Misr nominees. The programs aim to enhance technical and professional competencies, enabling employees to effectively deploy modern technological solutions. This initiative aligns with Banque Misr’s strategy to expand digital transformation and financial technology applications while boosting institutional efficiency.
Prof. Ahmed Khattab stated that the protocol extends NTI’s strategic mission to build digital capacities in line with the Ministry’s direction and Egypt’s broader vision of transitioning into a fully integrated digital society. He emphasized that the partnership reflects confidence in NTI’s accumulated expertise and its ability to design cutting-edge training pathways that address real institutional needs—particularly in vital sectors such as banking.
According to the protocol’s provisions, NTI will oversee the full training lifecycle—from designing customized curricula based on the bank’s requirements, to selecting specialized experts and trainers, and implementing a comprehensive quality assurance system to ensure optimal outcomes for participants.
For its part, Banque Misr reaffirmed its commitment to investing in human capital as a cornerstone of sustainable development and corporate responsibility. The collaboration represents a model of institutional integration, maximizing national expertise to support Egypt’s digital transformation journey and build a new generation of professionals capable of leading the digital economy.
