E-Finance Expands Development Impact in Aswan: Upgraded “Villages of Hope” Homes and Launch of “Sustainability Center” to Boost Economic Empowerment
E-Finance Group reinforced its commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility by participating in a major celebration in Aswan, marking the handover of 15 fully upgraded homes in Shorouk Village, Kom Ombo, as part of the “Villages of Hope” initiative. The program, executed by the Sena’a Al-Khair Foundation for Development, a member of the National Alliance for Developmental Civil Society Work, aims to provide safe and healthy living environments for underprivileged families while protecting them from flood and rainfall risks.
The event was attended by Major General Dr. Ismail Mohamed Kamal, Governor of Aswan; Ambassador Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Alliance; Dr. Mostafa Zamzam, Chairman of the Sena’a Al-Khair Foundation; Mr. Hani Abdel Fattah, CEO of the foundation; and Ms. Yasmin Rashid, Head of Marketing, Corporate Communication, and Community Development at E-Finance.
The home upgrades included reinforced ceilings, fully finished interiors with high-quality ceramic flooring, kitchens and bathrooms, exterior painting, electrical wiring, and carpentry for doors and windows, ensuring a safe, healthy, and sustainable living environment. Attendees toured the upgraded homes to assess their readiness and praised the foundation’s continued efforts in supporting vulnerable communities.
In parallel with the celebration, the “Sustainability Bus” was launched in the village to enhance women’s productive capacities by converting handicrafts into marketable products locally and internationally. Additionally, E-Finance inaugurated the “Sustainability Center” within the Family and Child Development Center in Jarf Hussein, Aswan, to expand training and production of traditional and handicraft skills, empowering women economically and providing sustainable income sources.
The center offers specialized training programs in handicrafts such as sewing, crochet, embroidery, decoupage, and gemstone arts, along with dedicated spaces for product display and sales, enabling women to transform skills into competitive market projects.
Commenting on the initiative, Ms. Yasmin Rashid stated:
"At E-Finance, we believe that investing in people is the cornerstone of sustainable development. Through our support for the Villages of Hope initiative, and the launch of the Sustainability Center and Bus, we are providing safe, dignified living for vulnerable families and empowering women economically by transforming traditional skills into real and sustainable opportunities for growth and production."
