Emirates NBD Egypt Posts Strong 2025 Results, Driven by Digital Leadership and Innovation
Emirates NBD Egypt, one of the leading banks in Egypt’s banking sector, announced strong financial results for the year ending December 2025, reflecting the success of its strategy focused on digital leadership, innovation, and delivering integrated banking and investment solutions tailored to evolving customer needs.
The bank reported net profits of EGP 6.1 billion by the end of December 2025, compared to EGP 5.3 billion in December 2024, representing a 15% year-on-year increase. Total revenues rose to EGP 15.3 billion, up from EGP 13.6 billion in the previous year, marking a growth rate of approximately 12.5%.
On the balance sheet level, total assets surged to EGP 208 billion, up from EGP 159 billion at the end of 2024, reflecting 31% growth. Shareholders’ equity increased to EGP 23 billion, compared to EGP 17.4 billion a year earlier, achieving 32% annual growth. The bank recorded a Return on Average Equity (ROAE) of 33%, a Return on Average Assets (ROAA) of 3.6%, and a cost-to-income ratio of 30%.
Customer loans and facilities reached EGP 96 billion, up from EGP 84.1 billion at the end of 2024, reflecting 14% growth. Corporate and institutional loans amounted to EGP 74 billion, while retail loans rose to EGP 22 billion, achieving a strong 29% growth rate.
Customer deposits increased significantly to EGP 170 billion, compared to EGP 128.2 billion at the end of 2024, marking 33% growth. Institutional deposits reached EGP 100 billion, while retail deposits climbed to EGP 70 billion, reflecting 51% growth, further strengthening the bank’s funding base.
Commenting on the results, Amr El Shafey, CEO and Managing Director of Emirates NBD Egypt, said the bank’s performance reflects the success of its comprehensive strategy launched in 2023, aimed at strengthening financial resilience, enhancing operational efficiency, and expanding the customer base, supported by improved asset quality and a diversified credit portfolio.
