MedBank announced that it has successfully obtained the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification in its latest version, one of the highest global honors in protecting credit and debit card data. This achievement reflects MedBank’s commitment to implementing the highest international security standards, safeguarding customer data, and securing digital payment systems against potential cyber threats.

PCI DSS is a strict global security standard established by major card networks such as Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX. Its goal is to ensure a secure payment environment, reduce fraud risks, and prevent digital breaches. Compliance covers a broad range of technical controls, including cardholder data protection and encryption, network and infrastructure security, continuous monitoring, regular penetration testing, and strict information security governance policies.
