US dollar exchange rates held steady against the Egyptian pound in today’s transactions, Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Central Bank of Egypt and across most banks operating in the banking sector.
US Dollar Rates at the Central Bank and State Banks
The US dollar recorded 51.91 EGP for buying and 52.05 EGP for selling at the Central Bank of Egypt. At state-owned banks, namely the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr, the rate stabilized at 51.94 EGP for buying and 52.04 EGP for selling.
Exchange Rates at Private and Investment Banks
Trading data showed matching exchange rates across several banks, with the US dollar standing at 51.94 EGP for buying and 52.04 EGP for selling at Commercial International Bank (CIB), The United Bank, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), and QNB.
Rates at other banks were as follows:
Al Baraka Bank: 51.90 EGP for buying, 52.00 EGP for selling.
Crédit Agricole: 51.89 EGP for buying, 51.99 EGP for selling.
Bank of Alexandria: 51.84 EGP for buying, 51.94 EGP for selling.
Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGBANK): 51.84 EGP for buying, 51.94 EGP for selling (according to the opening trading report).
