Egypt Accelerates Digital Transformation with Expanded Government Services

Egypt is stepping up efforts to expand digital government services, with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announcing that approximately 245 services are currently available through the Egypt Digital Platform.

The ministry said the government is working to broaden the platform’s services as part of its digital transformation strategy, with plans to increase the total number of available services to more than 400 by 2030.

As part of these efforts, Egypt has also introduced a Digital Identity Platform, allowing citizens to complete government transactions that require identity verification remotely and electronically.

The platform supports services such as issuing powers of attorney and authenticating official documents, reducing the need for citizens to visit government service offices in person.

The ministry emphasized that expanding digital services is aimed at making government procedures faster, easier, and more accessible, while supporting Egypt’s wider digital transformation agenda.
