Nafeza Sets Definitive July 18 Deadline for Shipping Agencies to Integrate with Upgraded Export System
The National Single Window for Foreign Trade Platform (Nafeza) has announced Saturday, July 18, 2026, as the final, strict deadline for all shipping agencies to fully complete electronic linkage and integration across the first five primary messaging processes of the upgraded export system.
This decisive mandate activates the resolutions passed during an expanded meeting held at the Egyptian Customs Authority headquarters on June 30, 2026, which brought together the Maritime Transport Sector, chambers of shipping, and representatives of active shipping agencies.
The Five Core Messaging Processes Targeted for Integration
The platform has obligated all relevant maritime and logistics entities to finalize integration protocols for the following five operations:
Unique Consignment Reference Verification (UCR Verification)
Booking Confirmation
Empty Containers Tracking
Shipment Inquiry
Manifest Submission
Strict Implementation Without Exceptions
Nafeza emphasized in its official statement that this directive will be enforced aggressively and universally across:
All maritime ports throughout the Arab Republic of Egypt, without any localized exceptions.
All shipping agencies operating within the container transport sector, without any structural exemptions.
The platform strongly urged any remaining shipping agencies that have not yet finalized their electronic integration to immediately coordinate with technical teams to execute the required digital pipelines. This urgency is critical to avoid the legal and administrative penalties resulting from non-compliance and to guarantee that Egyptian export traffic moving through maritime ports experiences no operational delays or disruptions.
This regulatory milestone is part of Egypt's comprehensive state strategy for digital transformation and foreign trade optimization. The ultimate objective is to significantly accelerate customs clearance processing, minimize inspections and turnaround times, and bring national shipping operations in line with premium global logistics benchmarks.
