Saudi ConTech Platform ”Fitting” Secures $1.1M Seed Funding to Digitize Building Materials Supply Chain
Saudi-based ConTech platform "Fitting" has officially launched its next phase of growth following the successful closure of a $1.1 million Seed funding round. The round included participation from a strategic investor actively involved in the building materials, contracting, and real estate development sectors.
Investment Utilization & Tech Expansion
The startup plans to channel the new capital into advancing its technological infrastructure, expanding operational capacity, and growing its team to deepen its penetration in the Saudi market. Fitting is also gearing up to launch new services, including advanced shipment tracking, artificial intelligence integration, and a smart catalog for building materials.
Streamlining Fragmented Supply Chains
Currently, Fitting provides a unified digital dashboard that allows users to manage quotation requests, compare supplier offers, coordinate supply logistics, and process invoices and payments. The platform targets chronic operational bottlenecks in the construction materials sector, effectively replacing fragmented communication across phone calls, emails, and WhatsApp, while eliminating reliance on paper invoices and simplifying price and cost comparisons.
Creative Marketing & Multilingual Strategy
To boost its post-funding presence, the company rolled out a comedic marketing campaign titled "So Many Problems... One Solution." The centerpiece video features a therapist, "Abu Basma," who listens to contractors, developers, and suppliers vent about daily industry frustrations, such as delayed deliveries, chaotic communication, and quotation discrepancies.
As part of a broader strategic communication plan targeting the sector's cultural diversity, the company launched two new initiatives:
Fitting You: Tailored social media accounts broadcasting industry-relevant content in Arabic, English, Chinese, and Urdu.
Fitting Us: A specialized channel hosting panel discussions and dialogues to foster networking and knowledge exchange among industry stakeholders.
Market Focus & Future Outlook
Fitting serves a dual-sided market, connecting demand-side players—such as real estate developers, contracting companies, and material showrooms—with supply-side factories, importers, and vendors. Moving forward, the company stated its primary focus will be merging product development with community engagement to ultimately enhance supply efficiency, ensure price transparency, and optimize cost control across the construction sector.
