Google has announced a major update to its artificial intelligence video creation and editing platform, Flow, introducing a suite of tools designed to give creators greater precision over scene generation and deliver production-ready video quality.

Powered by the Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash update, Flow now allows users to define specific start and end keyframes for video clips. This feature ensures character consistency and seamless visual transitions across scenes, giving creators significantly tighter control over narrative flow and visual continuity.

High-Resolution Output and Efficient Drafting

The update introduces several core enhancements tailored for both mobile and professional editing workflows:

1080p and 4K Export: Users can now render and export videos in full HD (1080p) and ultra-high-definition 4K, making the generated clips suitable for professional post-production editing, digital platforms, social media, and broadcast distribution.

Low-Credit 360p Drafts: A new draft mode enables users to generate 360p previews using fewer generation credits, allowing rapid iteration, concept testing, and scene composition before committing to a final render.

On-the-Go Upscaling: Creators can upscale approved draft clips directly to 720p or higher resolutions—a capability specifically optimized for users operating via mobile devices to test ideas quickly before producing final assets.
