CBE: Egyptian Remittances Surge 33.2% to Record $39.2 Billion in First 10 Months of FY 2025/2026

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has announced a substantial 33.2% increase in remittances from Egyptian expatriates during the first ten months of the current fiscal year (FY) 2025/2026. Inflows reached a record-breaking $39.2 billion during the July–April period, compared to approximately $29.4 billion recorded during the corresponding period of FY 2024/2025.
On a monthly basis, the CBE highlighted that expatriate remittances maintained their strong upward momentum through April 2026, surging by 44% to post around $4.3 billion, up from the $3 billion registered in April 2025.
