EdVentures and Mastercard Foundation Graduate Second Cohort of EdTech Fellowship in Egypt, Reaching 410,000 Learners
EdVentures, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, celebrated the graduation of the second cohort of the EdTech Fellowship in Egypt, supporting startups that expand access to quality, inclusive education using technology.
The program enabled 12 growth-stage startups to develop scalable solutions addressing educational challenges such as foundational skills, workforce readiness, and accessibility. Since its launch in Egypt, the Fellowship has supported 23 startups across two cohorts, reaching over 410,000 learners nationwide.
Highlights from the program include:
52% of startups led by women and 87% by youth.
34% of startups based outside major cities, promoting geographic inclusivity.
Startups reached 28,700 refugee learners and 20,500 learners with disabilities.
Program activities covered over 20 governorates with outreach in 13 governorates.
Founders received over 290 hours of mentoring, workshops, and expert sessions.
Participating startups tackle diverse areas including agriculture, STEM, robotics, language learning, medical training, financial literacy, and professional skills development.
