Eng. Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, witnessed the signing of several commercial agreements between the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), Telecom Egypt, and E & M Egypt.

These agreements aim to inject additional national and international investments into the sector and enhance the quality of mobile services provided to Egyptian citizens, keeping pace with continuous technological advancements in mobile telecommunications.

The agreements were signed by Eng. Mohamed Shamroukh, CEO of the NTRA; Eng. Tamer El Mehdi, Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt; and Eng. Hazem Metwally, CEO of E & M Egypt.

Eng. Raafat Hindi emphasized that the signing reflects the ministry’s commitment to supporting national efforts in resolving challenges faced by investors in the ICT sector, which is considered a key driver of economic growth and a cornerstone in building Digital Egypt. He noted that these agreements open new avenues for collaboration between telecommunications companies and contribute to the continuous improvement of services offered to citizens.

The minister also commended the NTRA for facilitating these agreements and praised the flexibility and cooperation demonstrated by both companies, which played a significant role in reaching these accords.

These agreements align with the ministry’s and the NTRA’s ongoing efforts to promote constructive collaboration between companies in the telecommunications sector, encouraging investment and enhancing service quality for Egyptian citizens.
