inDrive and BluEV Team Up to Cut Costs for New Ride-Hailing Drivers Across Egypt
Cairo, Egypt – October 2026 – Global mobility and urban services platform inDrive has partnered with BluEV, an Egyptian electric mobility solutions provider, to support new ride-hailing drivers across Egypt.
The partnership is designed to help eligible drivers lower their operating expenses and retain more of their earnings, while providing BluEV customers who join the inDrive platform with a package of financial incentives and other benefits.
Electric E-Bikes Could Reduce Drivers’ Operating Costs
The collaboration brings together electric mobility and ride-hailing services, with drivers using BluEV-powered electric e-bikes on the inDrive platform able to achieve savings of up to 30% on their total cost of ownership.
Beyond cost advantages, electric e-bikes can contribute to cleaner and quieter urban environments. Unlike conventional motorcycles powered by internal combustion engines, they produce no tailpipe CO₂ emissions during operation and generate less noise.
New inDrive Drivers to Receive Financial Incentives
Under the agreement, customers who purchase a BluEV-powered electric e-bike and register as new drivers on the inDrive platform can qualify for financial incentives equivalent to one full month of inDrive commission.
Eligible drivers can also receive one full month of BluEV’s battery-swapping subscription, provided they meet the performance requirements agreed upon by the two companies.
The incentives will not be paid upfront. Instead, they will be divided across two consecutive two-week periods.
inDrive Incentives Depend on Driver Performance
During the first two weeks, eligible drivers who meet the required performance criteria will receive the first portion of the inDrive incentive.
Drivers who maintain the required performance level throughout the following two weeks will then receive the remaining portion.
BluEV Offers Free Battery-Swapping Access
Under the BluEV component of the program, eligible drivers will receive a free two-week subscription to the company’s battery-swapping service after purchasing a BluEV-powered electric e-bike and completing verification of their inDrive registration.
Drivers who meet the required performance criteria on the inDrive platform will also have the opportunity to extend the free battery-swapping subscription for another two weeks.
inDrive Highlights Driver Support
Alaa El Din Shalaby, Country Manager of inDrive Egypt, said the company is continuously seeking practical opportunities to help drivers start and expand their work on its platform.
He noted that the partnership combines the adoption of electric mobility with direct incentives for new inDrive drivers, while helping them lower operating costs and improve their earnings.
According to Shalaby, providing commission support alongside a free BluEV subscription is intended to give eligible drivers greater flexibility as they begin working, while supporting the development of more efficient and sustainable mobility solutions across Egyptian cities and communities.
BluEV Links Sustainability With Technology
Reda Baalbaki, Co-Founder and CEO of BluEV, said the collaboration represents more than a partnership between two companies, describing it as a reflection of their shared ambition to reshape the mobility ecosystem through sustainability, technology and service.
For inDrive, he said, the partnership reinforces its focus on combining quality services with more sustainable mobility solutions.
For BluEV, the agreement represents confidence in its technology and its ability to meet and exceed the requirements of a global ride-hailing platform.
The two companies aim to demonstrate how innovation and sustainability can work together to create a smarter and more efficient mobility experience at scale.
Partnership Available Across BluEV’s Operating Cities
The initiative is available in all cities where BluEV operates battery-swapping stations.
Eligible BluEV customers in these locations can join the inDrive ride-hailing platform and benefit from the incentive program, in addition to the operating advantages associated with electric e-bikes.
The partnership is also intended to create new opportunities for people seeking to enter the ride-hailing sector through electric mobility, while helping drivers reduce operating expenses and contributing to cleaner and quieter urban environments.
