inDrive, the leading global platform for smart mobility and urban services, announced its participation in the Techne Summit 2026 to showcase its future vision for the smart mobility sector and the growing role of technology and digital services in the Egyptian market.

During the summit, Alaaeldin Shalaby, inDrive's Manager in Egypt, participated in a high-level panel discussion detailing the company’s growth trajectory in the local market, the evolutionary dynamics of the smart mobility sector, and the promising opportunities shaping the country's transportation ecosystem.

Shalaby highlighted inDrive’s direct Peer-to-Peer pricing model, which empowers passengers and drivers to negotiate and agree on the trip fare directly, without the platform imposing fixed prices.

He also outlined the catalysts driving the company’s accelerating growth in Egypt, examining the evolving demands of both drivers and passengers, alongside the vast opportunities within the Egyptian smart mobility market.

The discussions addressed the primary challenges facing the sector, prominently featuring direct economic pressures, regulatory and legislative developments, and the critical need to create sustainable job opportunities that guarantee fair returns for drivers.
