According to a report by Windows Latest analyzing updates released since January 2026, Windows 11 experienced major issues or performance drops in 8 out of the past 9 months. Recurring bugs linked to monthly patches caused significant disruptions:

September: Caused USB audio failures and malfunctions in File History.

August: Led to printing errors and PDF file issues.

July: Affected performance on select Dell systems.

Windows 10: Fewer Disruptions and Controlled Updates
