Meta has unveiled its new AI device, “Muse Charm,” a compact gadget designed to provide users with direct access to its Muse AI assistant without relying on a smartphone or smart glasses.

The device was introduced during the company’s Connect 2026 event. Designed to fit in a pocket or be carried as a keychain, the Muse Charm features a roughly two-inch OLED touchscreen displaying a virtual character representing the Muse assistant.

Users can communicate with Muse through the device, while also customizing the virtual character’s appearance, clothing, and voice. The gadget includes a 5G modem, allowing it to connect to cellular networks without Wi-Fi. However, it does not support traditional phone or video calls.

Meta has equipped the Muse Charm with front- and rear-facing cameras that can capture photos and videos. The cameras are primarily designed to provide Muse with visual information, helping the AI understand and respond to the user’s surroundings.

The device also includes a speaker, microphone, and USB-C port. It can be carried in a pocket, attached to the wrist, or clipped to a bag or keychain.

Meta has not yet announced the final price of the Muse Charm, but the company plans to launch the device ahead of the December 2026 holiday season. The launch comes alongside new updates to Muse, including enhanced voice interaction and cross-device capabilities.
