Egypt’s foreign trade recorded significant growth during the first seven months of 2026, driven by higher exports and imports, according to the latest data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

Egyptian exports to global markets increased to $3.9 billion in July 2026, compared with $3.7 billion in July 2025, marking a 5% year-on-year increase.

Meanwhile, imports rose sharply to $12 billion in July 2026, up from $9 billion a year earlier, representing a 33.5% increase.

As a result, Egypt’s total trade exchange with countries worldwide reached $15.9 billion in July 2026, compared with $12.7 billion in July 2025, an increase of $3.2 billion or 25.1%.

During the first seven months of 2026, Egypt’s exports climbed to $31.9 billion, compared with $29.9 billion during the same period in 2025, reflecting an increase of $2 billion, or 6.8%.

Egyptian imports also recorded a substantial increase, reaching $73 billion in the January-July 2026 period, compared with $57.4 billion in the corresponding period of 2025. This represents an increase of $15.6 billion, or 27.3%.

Total trade exchange between Egypt and countries around the world reached $104.9 billion during the first seven months of 2026, compared with $87.3 billion during the same period last year, an increase of $17.6 billion, or 20.2%.
