Iraqi Oil Minister Visits Turkey to Sign One-Year Agreement for Sustaining Exports via Ceyhan Port

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil disclosed on Saturday the key objectives behind its minister’s visit to Turkey at the helm of an official government delegation. The ministry indicated that the primary goal of the trip is to secure a one-year agreement to sustain oil exports through the Ceyhan port.

Salim Al-Rikabi, the spokesman for the Ministry of Oil, stated that a high-level Iraqi delegation, led by the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Bassem Mohammed Khudhair, has departed for Turkey. The delegation is set to sign a temporary, one-year pact. According to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), this interim arrangement paves the way for concluding a more comprehensive, long-term agreement with the Turkish side that will encompass broader projects within the energy sector.
