 Minister of Industry Eng. Khaled Hashem has issued a decree appointing Ayman El-Bayaa as the Executive Director of the Industrial Modernization Centre (IMC) and assigning him the role of Assistant Minister of Industry for Digital Transformation. This decision aligns with the Ministry’s strategy to upgrade the industrial workflow ecosystem, accelerate institutional and digital transformation, and achieve the targets of the 2026–2030 Industrial Strategy.

Enhancing the Industrial Ecosystem

The Minister emphasized that the appointment aims to reinforce the pivotal role of the IMC as the Ministry's executive arm for implementing industrial development programs, transferring technology, and boosting the competitiveness of Egyptian factories. Hashem noted that the Ministry continues to expand digital transformation applications to:

Upgrade government services provided to investors.

Simplify procedures and significantly reduce processing times.

Improve the industrial investment climate and strengthen private sector partnerships.

Support state efforts to deepen local manufacturing and increase exports.

Decades of Executive Tech Leadership

El-Bayaa is recognized as a prominent executive leader in digital transformation and information technology. He brings over three decades of professional experience across Egypt and the Middle East, encompassing digital transformation, smart cities, data centers, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity.

Throughout his career, El-Bayaa has held several high-profile leadership positions in major regional and global corporations, including:

CEO of the global tech firm STME.

General Manager of the Technology Sector at Alfanar Group in Saudi Arabia.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Benya Group.

CEO of YAS Holding's Technology Group in the United Arab Emirates.

He has spearheaded numerous strategic digital transformation projects in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, contributing to the establishment of smart cities, mega data centers, and advanced digital infrastructure initiatives.

In recognition of his substantial contributions to leading digital transformation, institutional development, and delivering sustainable results across various markets, El-Bayaa has received multiple international accolades.
