The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) has announced its participation in supporting the humanitarian initiative, "From the Egyptian Woman to Her Palestinian Sister... We Will Remain a Support." Implemented by the National Council for Women (NCW) in collaboration with the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC), the initiative aims to provide essential relief and assistance to the Palestinian people.

The announcement was made in the presence of Mohamed El-Etreby, CEO of the NBE; Counselor Amal Ammar, President of the NCW; and Dr. Amal Emam, CEO of the ERC. The event also saw the attendance of representatives from the participating entities, along with the NBE’s Community Development team and a dedicated group of volunteer bank employees. These volunteers were keen to actively participate in preparing the humanitarian convoys destined to support the Palestinian people.

Mohamed El-Etreby stated that participating in this initiative aligns with the bank's commitment to backing state-led relief efforts and reflects the deep-rooted values of solidarity that characterize the Egyptian people. He added that contributing to this initiative underscores the bank's dedication to its corporate social responsibility, aiming to actively alleviate humanitarian suffering and bolster the Egyptian state's ongoing efforts to aid the Palestinian brothers and sisters.

El-Etreby also expressed his pride in collaborating with the NCW and the ERC. He noted that this initiative exemplifies the strength of partnerships between various state and civic institutions to fulfill a noble humanitarian mission, praising all efforts exerted to support those affected and provide them with basic necessities.

Providing and Equipping 1,000 Cartons Dina Abou Taleb, Head of Marketing and Community Development at the NBE, explained that the bank’s contribution includes a financial donation of EGP 2 million. This funding will help prepare and equip 1,000 cartons of basic food supplies. Additionally, it will support the humanitarian aid truck being prepared by the ERC for dispatch to the Rafah border crossing, as part of Egypt's continuous relief operations for the Palestinians.

For her part, Counselor Amal Ammar emphasized that this initiative delivers more than just material aid; it carries a profound message of solidarity. It reaffirms that the Egyptian woman has always been, and will remain, a pillar of support for her Palestinian sister, and that Egypt—both its leadership and its people—will consistently stand by its neighbors, driven by its historical and humanitarian responsibilities.
