National Bank of Egypt Secures €54 Million from French Development Agency to Drive Sustainable Agriculture

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) has signed a €50 million financing agreement alongside a €4 million grant with the French Development Agency (AFD) aimed at supporting sustainable agricultural financing.
The bank stated that these agreements will actively contribute to providing customized, tailored financing solutions for smallholder farmers, cooperative societies, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating within the agricultural sector. This strategic funding is designed to significantly enhance agricultural productivity and achieve long-term agricultural security in the country.
