PIF’s HUMAIN Partners with NVIDIA to Deploy DRIVE Hyperion Platform for Level 4 Robotaxis in the Middle East

Following NVIDIA’s recent global expansion of its DRIVE Hyperion platform for autonomous robotaxis, HUMAIN—a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) specializing in integrated AI solutions—has announced it will spearhead the deployment of the platform across the Middle East.

This partnership integrates Saudi Arabia into a premier global automotive ecosystem comprising top-tier OEMs, tier-1 manufacturing partners, autonomous vehicle (AV) software developers, and mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) providers. The initiative is explicitly designed to accelerate the development, simulation, and commercialization of Level 4 autonomous robotaxi fleets across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Massive Infrastructure & Sovereign Computing Architecture To sustain this deployment, HUMAIN is initiating large-scale strategic investments in sovereign AI computing infrastructure over the next five years.

Infrastructure ComponentTechnical Specifications & TimelineStrategic Objective

AI FactoriesUp to 500 Megawatt (MW) total capacityHeavy-duty physical AI model training & simulation

GPU DeploymentHundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GPUs over 5 yearsScaling regional computation capabilities

This high-performance computing environment establishes a sovereign foundation capable of executing massive autonomous vehicle training data workloads, closed-loop simulations, and extensive fleet readiness testing.

Executive Commentary > “Autonomous mobility will emerge as one of the most transformative applications of Artificial Intelligence over the coming decade,” stated Tarek Amin, CEO of HUMAIN. “Through our collaboration with NVIDIA, we are building the advanced infrastructure, technical capabilities, and operational scale required to pioneer turnkey Level 4 automation in the Kingdom. This represents our strategic vision to deploy AI infrastructure platforms that seamlessly bridge the digital and physical worlds at an unprecedented scale.”

“The autonomous mobility sector is at a pivotal inflection point as it transitions into industrial-scale deployment,” added Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Vehicles are evolving into intelligent, mobile robots capable of perceiving and reasoning to act safely in real-world environments. Next-generation robotaxi fleets require advanced AI infrastructure to operate safely at scale. NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion provides a unified, production-ready foundation that integrates high-performance compute, sensor suites, and safety software, accelerating the evolution of autonomous fleets from localized pilots into widespread daily transportation solutions.”

A Turnkey L4 Ecosystem NVIDIA remains the sole provider of a production-ready, end-to-end Level 4 autonomous driving platform. The NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion architecture relies on the integrated NVIDIA DriveOS™ safety-certified software stack for physical AI. It unifies high-performance in-vehicle compute via NVIDIA DRIVE AGX™ with the safety-compliant NVIDIA Halos™ OS—the foundational software underlying the Halos ecosystem. This hardware-software harmony is further paired with a complete multimedia sensor suite and specialized NVIDIA DRIVE™ AV software to achieve high-level autonomous operational capabilities.

As NVIDIA continues to solidify its alliances with leading automotive and mobility pioneers globally, HUMAIN’s deployment marks a major leap that firmly establishes Saudi Arabia as a premier global hub for AI-backed transport infrastructure.
