Mobile Subscribers in Egypt Reach 123 Million in Q4 2025, Driven by Digital Services Growth

The number of mobile subscribers in Egypt rose to 123.06 million by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, compared to approximately 113.19 million during the same period in 2024, reflecting an increase of 9.87 million subscribers and an annual growth rate of around 8.7%. This growth highlights the expanding adoption of digital services and increased reliance on the country’s telecommunications infrastructure.

The quarterly report issued by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology also showed that mobile penetration reached approximately 110.75% per 100 inhabitants, up from 103.61% during the same period last year.

Fixed-line subscribers also increased, reaching 14.16 million by Q4 2025, compared to 13.25 million during the same quarter of 2024, representing a 6.9% annual growth rate.

Regarding mobile internet services (voice and data), active subscriptions reached 92.64 million during the last quarter of 2025, up from 84.24 million in the corresponding period of 2024, reflecting the growing use of mobile data services. Subscriptions for non-phone devices (data-only plans) also rose to approximately 3.96 million, compared to 3.19 million during the same period last year.

At the level of fixed broadband (FBB) services, subscriptions totaled 12.72 million by the end of Q4 2025, up from 11.63 million in Q4 2024, highlighting the continuing demand for home internet services.

These indicators underscore the sustained growth of Egypt’s telecommunications and IT sector, driven by increasing reliance on telecom and internet services, as well as the expansion of digital infrastructure, supporting the government’s efforts to promote digital transformation and broaden the user base for digital services across various sectors.

Fixed-line penetration reached 12.70% per 100 inhabitants, compared to 11.97% during the same period last year.
