Egypt’s Telecom Regulator Issues Summer Working Hours for Service Provider Outlets
The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has announced updated summer working hours for retail outlets of telecommunications service providers, in line with the implementation of daylight saving time (DST) across the country.
The directive follows the provisions of Law No. 24 of 2023, which mandates the application of daylight saving time starting from the last Friday of April each year. Accordingly, the new operating hours will take effect on Friday, April 24.
Under the new schedule, telecom service provider outlets will operate as follows:
From Saturday to Thursday: 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM
On Fridays: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
The NTRA also clarified that outlets located within shopping malls, sports clubs, airports, and seaports must adhere to the official working hours set by those respective venues.
The move aims to ensure alignment with national time regulations while maintaining efficient service delivery to the public during the summer season.
