Alshaya Group Launches First Global Talent Center in Cairo, Strengthening Egypt’s Status as a Premier Offshoring Hub
Alshaya Group, a leading international retail franchise operator, has officially inaugurated its first Offshoring Global Talent Center in Cairo. The opening, attended by Eng. Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), marks the Group’s 20th anniversary in the Egyptian market. The new center is set to provide a wide array of digital and business services—including IT solutions, digital marketing, and multilingual customer support—to 16 markets across MENA, Europe, and Central Asia.
Eng. Ahmed Elzaher emphasized that this launch reinforces Egypt’s position as a strategic export base for digital services, noting the rising demand from Gulf-based companies to scale their operations in the country. John Hadden, CEO of Alshaya Group, hailed Egypt as a key strategic partner, citing the "ambition and energy" of the local workforce as the primary driver for the Group’s long-term success. The center plans to create 400 new high-quality jobs over the next two years, further integrating Egypt into the global digital economy.
