Bank Misr and International Finance Corporation Sign USD 150 Million Financing Agreement to Support Green and Sustainable Projects in Egypt
Hisham Okasha, Chairman of Bank Misr, and Sheikh Omar Sillah, Country Manager of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), signed a USD 150 million financing agreement aimed at expanding the Bank’s green portfolio and supporting sustainable projects financed by Bank Misr in Egypt.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the conference titled “Innovation for Resilience: Financing for a Sustainable Future”, organized by the Central Bank of Egypt in cooperation with the World Bank Group. The conference focuses on promoting sustainable finance and strengthening international cooperation to enhance climate resilience across Africa.
The signing ceremony was attended by Hassan Abdalla, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, and Ethiopis Tafara, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation for Africa.
