Mubasher Capital Holding Seeks Regulatory Approval to Launch New Dollar and Silver Investment Funds

Mubasher Capital Holding, represented by Ehab Rashad, Vice Chairman, has submitted an application to the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) to launch a new dollar-denominated investment fund focused on Egyptian treasury bills or euro-denominated bonds.

During his participation in the Annual Capital Markets Summit under the theme “FinTech: The Path to Investment Inclusion”, Rashad also announced preparations to launch a silver investment fund, potentially the first of its kind in Egypt, with the application already submitted to the FRA. He expressed hope that approvals would be granted soon, allowing the funds to be available to investors ahead of any new upward movement in silver prices.

Rashad emphasized that these initiatives represent positive developments for the market, reflecting advancements in investment tools and trading platforms, contributing to deepening Egypt’s bond market and diversifying investment opportunities.

Regarding the Mubasher platform, he highlighted that the first subscription and redemption platform in Egypt was launched in 2020 with a single fund, and has now expanded to over 60 investment funds across multiple companies in the Egyptian market. Most market participants now rely on this platform, demonstrating significant growth in the digital investment infrastructure.

Rashad further noted that Mubasher is developing a comprehensive digital hub featuring fund news, pricing information, and the ability to execute buy and sell orders online, potentially making it the first integrated fund and bond trading center in the local market.

He concluded by stressing that Egypt’s market still exhibits low fixed-income instrument penetration, currently around 4–5% of GDP, signaling a significant growth opportunity in the sector. Mubasher has also launched a variety of funds, including income, equity, idea-focused, and existing funds, as part of its strategy to diversify investment products and deepen the market.
