Talaat Moustafa Group to Invest Over $5 Billion in Two New Omani Projects Comprising 15,000 Residential Units
Talaat Moustafa Group Holding (TMG), one of the region’s leading developers of integrated urban communities, announced that it is investing more than $5 billion in two major real estate projects in the Sultanate of Oman — “Joud” and “Yamal.” Together, the developments will encompass approximately 15,000 residential units, ushering in a new generation of smart cities and coastal lifestyle destinations built to world-class standards and aligned with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
Hisham Talaat Moustafa, CEO and Managing Director of Talaat Moustafa Group Holding, stated that the decision to expand into the Omani market reflects the group’s 55-year track record in international real estate development, backed by extensive feasibility studies to ensure that its success in Egypt can be replicated across the region through fully integrated and sustainable urban communities.
The announcement was made at the official launch of the Joud and Yamal projects, held under the patronage of Dhi Yazan bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth of Oman, and attended by Dr. Khalfan Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, alongside senior Omani officials, dignitaries, and top executives from Talaat Moustafa Group.
According to Hisham Talaat, the group maintains global benchmarks across all its developments, prioritizing sustainability, operational efficiency, and a high standard of living. These principles, he noted, are designed to deliver long-term value for communities, the economy, and future generations. TMG plans to extend its integrated lifestyle model to new regional markets, targeting an enhanced urban experience for more than 1.5 million people between 2025 and 2030 across Oman, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia.
TMG confirmed the commencement of sales for units within its two Omani developments, which together span more than 4.9 million square meters.
“Yamal” Coastal Project: A Premium Waterfront Destination
The Yamal development is set to become a prestigious coastal and residential community in Al Manouma on the Gulf of Oman, featuring a beachfront stretching up to 1,760 meters. Designed to offer a luxury coastal lifestyle, the project will feature an international marina, water-sports amenities, premium hotels, leisure destinations, and a wide range of residential properties overlooking the sea and marina. Residents and visitors will benefit from a fully integrated environment that blends upscale living with entertainment, hospitality, and world-class infrastructure.
