President of the Court of Cassation Meets Federation of Egyptian Banks Chairman to Discuss Judicial Support for Economic Growth
Counselor Assem El-Gaish, President of the Court of Cassation and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, received Mohamed El-Etreby, CEO of the National Bank of Egypt and Chairman of both the Federation of Egyptian Banks and the Union of Arab Banks, at his office at the Court of Cassation headquarters.
The visit came as part of a courtesy meeting during which El-Etreby extended his congratulations to Counselor El-Gaish on assuming his new role as President of the Court of Cassation and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council.
The meeting was attended by Counselor Mohamed Hassan Abdel Latif, Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Head of International Relations, and Counselor Khaled Farouk, Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Media Advisor to the President of the Supreme Judicial Council. El-Etreby was accompanied by a high-level delegation including Mohamed Shaaban, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Ashraf Shaaban, Legal Advisor to the Federation of Egyptian Banks, and Amr Youssef El-Qalash, General Manager of the Federation of Egyptian Banks.
During the meeting, El-Etreby praised the pivotal role of the Court of Cassation in upholding justice and establishing judicial principles that contribute to the stability of Egypt’s financial markets. He emphasized that economic and financial strength are deeply rooted in the rule of law and the efficiency of the judicial system, commending the court’s efforts in unifying legal precedents to foster a safe and attractive investment climate that supports economic stability.
For his part, Counselor El-Gaish expressed his appreciation to the delegation, commending the National Bank of Egypt’s leading role in supporting the national economy and advancing the state’s sustainable development goals.
At the conclusion of the meeting, El-Etreby conveyed his sincere wishes to Egypt’s judges and members of the Public Prosecution for continued success in their noble mission of upholding justice and the rule of law. The visit concluded with an exchange of commemorative shields, symbolizing mutual respect and a shared commitment to ongoing cooperation between the two institutions.
