TAQA Delists from Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Following 100% Acquisition by Abu Dhabi Power Corporation

The official delisting of the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) from the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) took effect on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. The move follows the completion of the mandatory acquisition process covering all remaining shares, transferring full ownership to the Abu Dhabi Power Corporation.

Following the mandatory buyout, Abu Dhabi Power Corporation has become the sole shareholder of TAQA, consolidating a 100% stake in the utility giant’s issued share capital.

The final decision to cancel the listing was made by TAQA’s Board of Directors during its meeting on August 25, 2026, utilizing powers authorized by a special resolution approved by the company's General Assembly on July 21, 2026.

The transaction concludes TAQA's tenure on the public exchange, as full ownership concentration under a single entity removes the requirement for public share trading on the market.
